Bank of America Stadium glowed fluorescent blue for two unforgettable nights thanks to the electrifying performances of Mingyu, The8, Joshua, DK, S.Coups, Vernon, Seungkwan, Jun and Dino—nine of the thirteen members of K-Pop self-producing supergroup, SEVENTEEN. Last week, as part of their highly anticipated “New_ “ World Tour, the Pledis Entertainment boyband captivated fans in Los Angeles before continuing throughout the United States . Their almost 4 hour set featured a mix of fan-favorite songs, dynamic dance routines, and cute moments to capture the hearts of international Carats.
Confetti rained down on the first night in Los Angeles. The energy in the arena was electricfying as the balcony seats trembled under the force of thousands of fans’ ecstatic screams and movements. Immersed in the excitement, I found myself reflecting on the experience and pondered some tough—and amusing—questions brought on throughout the night.
Which song will reign super at the end of the night? It’s impossible to decide from the 32-song set list. Both "HOT" and "HIT" have the crowd chanting, synchronized to the T, with choreography even up in the 300 sections. Mingyu’s infectious "Shake It Off" and “Jungle” by S.COUPS are also strong contenders as well. Even older songs like "A-TEEN" and "9-TEEN" cause quite the commotion among fans.
Will the choreography for “HIT” or “HOT” ever leave my mind? Absolutely not—the moves linger long after the show, making it impossible not to relive the concert in daily life.
Will the die-hard fans behind me have any voice left in the morning? Their screams are deafening, fueled by contagious excitement and concession stand sugar. Their fangirl admiration is on a level I haven’t witnessed since my first K-pop show back in 2012 and as their dance moves flash across the big screen before the final act, their screams reach new heights. The thought that their favorite members have seen them takes over. I know they had a great time.
The concert’s four acts are masterfully crafted, delivering a nearly nonstop show that leaves little to no breathing room for the talented men gracing the stage. Yet, amid the whirlwind of music and choreography, there’s just enough time for the audience to share a laugh at the amusing exchanges between the female translator—tucked away out of sight—and the members as they navigate their exhaustion and her occasionally jumbled interpretations. These moments of lightheartedness add a charming, human touch to the high-energy show.

Acts II and III spotlight solo performances from each currently active member found on their latest best-selling release HAPPY BURSTDAY, while Acts I and III feature group activities. This tour may mark one of the first times all active members have presented their solo performances in one show. It's a real treat for fans.
One of the night’s most memorable highlights, in my opinion, came during Act IV. In a move I hope other artists take note of, SEVENTEEN performed while riding atop four separate rollable platforms that glided from the front to the back and along the sides of the arena. This creative staging allowed fans throughout the venue—even those far from the main stage—to experience a close-up view of their favorite members as they sang and danced just a few feet away. In a venue of this size, it was a thoughtful and exhilarating touch that ensured every Carat, not just those in the prime seats, shared in the magic of the moment.
The group won’t be complete as 13 until 2031, but fans eagerly await the return of Wonwoo, Jeonghan,Hoshi, and Woozi, —all currently inactive members serving in the military. A group of dedicated Carats makes their presence known at the very front and center of the stage. Dressed in army fatigues and waving picture-adorned fans, they pay tribute to the absent members. These gestures remind everyone that the group’s spirit remains whole, even as some members serve their country.
One thing is certain: the fans can’t get enough. Many joke about wanting an eight-hour concert, a playful testament to the boundless passion SEVENTEEN inspires. As the final notes linger and the arena lights rise, SEVENTEEN’s presence lingers—stretching well beyond the stage and into the hearts of everyone present. The connection between artist and fan pulses through every shared lyric, every outstretched hand, and every beaming face. As Carats pour into the night—hearts overflowing, voices spent, eyes shining—this isn’t merely the close of a concert, but the start of stories and friendships that will echo for years. For every Carat in attendance, the night felt like a living embodiment of what it means to belong: a mosaic of music, unity, and pure, unforgettable joy that only grows stronger after the final curtain falls.
